Pasta Sprinkle isn’t just for pasta! It features our signature blend of herbs with a little parmesan and garlic that goes great on pasta as well as cooked vegetables. Here is a quick and tasty recipe featuring asparagus, but you can easily substitute your favorite vegetables like zucchini, broccoli, or whatever is fresh and in season.

Makes 4 servings

  • 1 bundle fresh asparagus
  • 3 large cherry tomatoes
  • 3 small bell peppers
  • 1 green onion
  • fresh shredded parmesan cheese
  • minced garlic
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • salt and pepper
  • Pasta Sprinkle

  1. Preheat oven to 300ºF
  2. For this recipe I prefer to use thin asparagus because it mixes well with the other vegetables. Take a stalk of asparagus and hold it at each end and bend it until it snaps, this will leave you with the softer tops to cook with and remove the hard woody stems.
  3. Once you have snapped all the stalks you will want to put them on in a shallow baking pan. Drizzle a little bit of olive oil over the top then toss the asparagus until they are evenly coated.
  4. Give a dash of salt, pepper, and a couple pinches of minced garlic and toss again. The oil will help the asparagus cook nice and crisp all over which is why you will want to make sure they are coated before adding your other vegetables.
  5. Next you will want to thinly slice your tomatoes, onion, and bell peppers.
  6. Add your vegetables to your asparagus
  7. Generously shake the pasta sprinkle over your dish
  8. Sprinkle with shredded parmesan and toss once more.
  9. Bake at 300°F for approximately 20-30 minutes until all your vegetables are nice and tender. You can cook the dish uncovered for crispier asparagus or cover with foil for softer asparagus.
