Homemade Whiskey Barbecue Sauce

This homemade whiskey barbecue sauce is perfect for wings, shrimp and pretty much any other meat product you could think of!

  • 1 head of garlic
  • 2/3 cup of water
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • ¼ cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp minced onion
  • 1 tbsp whiskey
  • 1 tbsp crushed pineapple
  • ¼ tsp black pepper


In a sauce pan mix water, pineapple juice, teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, and brown sugar over high heat. Bring ingredients to a boil then reduce to a simmer and stir continually until all of the sugar is dissolved. Slowly stir in remaining ingredients then allow to simmer for 40 – 50 minutes stirring occasionally until sauce is thick and syrupy.  Let the homemade whiskey barbecue sauce cool, once it is cooled you are free to use it on just about anything you wish.
