Jack-o-lanterns on the porch, leaves falling in the yard, the scent of a fresh cinnamon sticks recipe wafting through the air…there is really nothing else like autumn!

I have really grown to love the smell and taste of real cinnamon, so I’ve gotten a little creative with my cinnamon sticks recipe this year.

First, plop a cinnamon stick in your hot cocoa the next time you brew some up. It adds a wonderful zing and a little different taste from the norm. It also heightens the delicious chocolate-y flavor.

With family and friends coming over, what better way to give your home that autumn holiday aroma, than using a fresh cinnamon sticks recipe simmering on the stove top. Another idea is to take a cheap pillar candle (one from a dollar store will work just fine). Place cinnamon sticks standing vertically around the candle with a hot glue gun and tie a piece of twine or ribbon around it. The most wonderful thing about this craft is that when the candle warms up after being lit, the aroma of cinnamon will fill your room. A few of these can even serve as a beautiful Thanksgiving centerpiece!

Finally, a recipe for warm apple cinnamon cider:

In a large saucepan, combine all ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Discard whole cloves and cinnamon sticks. Serve warm. Serves 10-12. I hope you enjoy these cinnamon sticks recipe creations as much as I have this season!
